The
Dresden-based Institut für ökologische Raumentwicklung e. V. (IOER
- Institute of Ecological and Regional Development) has the task
of scientifically addressing basic issues relating to the ecological
regeneration of formerly industrialised regions, to national and
regional development, and to urban ecology in heavily polluted
and densely populated regions as well as of investigating fundamental
questions concerning housing. Particular attention is paid in the
process to the source conditions, development perspectives, instruments
to be deployed and transboundary specifications for an ecologically
and economically viable process of renewal. The IOER supports partner
3 in WP 1 (Ecological Criteria),
organises the network (WP 10) and is responsible for the conduction
of WP 12 (Manual). |
